whitemap is a platform engine that allows spot information featured in magazines or web media to be intuitively plotted on a map-based UI. For its first implementation, the platform was used in collaboration with the magazine BRUTUS to create “BRUTUS mapzine,” a service that enables readers to explore the shops and locations introduced in feature articles directly on an interactive map.

By projecting the editorial team’s unique perspective and worldview onto the map, the service offers readers an engaging experience that sparks new discoveries and encourages real-world exploration.

Designed to adapt flexibly to the expression style of each publication, whitemap can be applied across a wide range of fields—from travel guides and local information to culture magazines. It proposes a new form of information delivery by connecting media and users through maps.
